Talksy vs Goodcall: AI Receptionists Compared (2026)
Goodcall and Talksy are both AI receptionists aimed at small businesses, so the choice comes down to details. Goodcall is phone-focused and can take actions mid-call: book on Google Calendar, transfer to a staff member, and text the caller a link. Talksy answers phone calls, WhatsApp and Telegram with one assistant, offers local numbers in the US and Canada, and starts at $19 a month, but it doesn't book, transfer or text. If the call needs to end with an appointment in your calendar, Goodcall does that and Talksy doesn't.
Goodcall information below is from goodcall.com/pricing, its FAQ and how-it-works page, checked on October 23, 2026.

How do the billing models compare in practice?
They measure different things, so the cheaper option depends on your call pattern.
Goodcall counts unique customers: a phone number that calls five times in a month counts once (pricing). That's generous for repeat callers, such as a property manager's tenants. Goodcall estimates its tiers at roughly 150, 750 and 3,000 calls.
Talksy counts voice minutes and messages. Short FAQ calls use very little; long, chatty calls use more.
A worked example using Goodcall's published plans and Talksy's pricing: a salon gets 400 calls a month from 300 different people, averaging 90 seconds each.
- Goodcall: 300 unique customers is over Starter's 100, so you'd be on Growth at $129 (up to 500 customers).
- Talksy: 400 calls × 1.5 minutes ≈ 600 minutes, which is over Growth's 300, so you'd need Scale at $149, which also includes 20,000 WhatsApp and Telegram messages.
Now a plumber with 120 calls from 110 people, averaging two minutes: Goodcall Growth at $129 (over Starter's 100 customers), versus about 240 minutes on Talksy's Growth plan at $49. Run your own numbers from your phone bill before choosing.
Where Goodcall is stronger
- It finishes the job on the call. Booking directly into Google Calendar and texting a confirmation is a real advantage for appointment-driven businesses. Talksy can only share your booking link.
- Escalation to people. Goodcall tries up to three contacts and retries busy lines (FAQ). Talksy can't transfer.
- Integrations. Google Sheets lead logging, HighLevel, and an API/MCP route for custom setups. Talksy has none.
- Repeat-caller pricing. Counting unique customers rather than minutes can be kinder to businesses with regulars.
Where Talksy is stronger
- Messaging channels. WhatsApp and Telegram, answered by the same assistant, with replies drawn from documents you upload, and full conversation history in the dashboard.
- Canada. Talksy sells instant local Canadian numbers; Goodcall's FAQ says it's US-only for now.
- Languages. Spanish and French assistants are available; Goodcall lists English only.
- Entry price and trial. $19 a month versus $79 (Goodcall pricing), and a 14-day free trial versus a demo agent (Goodcall FAQ).
A limitation to weigh: on phone calls, Talksy answers from the assistant's written instructions rather than your uploaded documents, so the facts callers need should live in those instructions.
Which should you pick?
Pick Goodcall if you're a US business where most calls should end in a booked appointment or a transfer to a team member, and you work in Google Calendar.
Pick Talksy if your customers message you on WhatsApp or Telegram as well as call, you're in Canada (or both countries), you need a Spanish or French assistant, or you mainly need questions answered well at a low flat price.
