Talksy vs My AI Front Desk (Frontdesk): 2026 Comparison
My AI Front Desk, which now calls itself Frontdesk, and Talksy sit at opposite ends of the AI receptionist market. My AI Front Desk is a broad platform: an AI that "calls, texts, emails, and chats," books appointments across Google Calendar, Outlook and Calendly, warm-transfers calls, runs web chat and includes a CRM, from $99 a month (pricing). Talksy is deliberately narrower: an AI assistant that answers phone calls, WhatsApp and Telegram for $19 to $149 a month, with a local US or Canadian number included. If you'll use the extra features, My AI Front Desk is the stronger product. If you won't, you're paying for them.

Do you need what My AI Front Desk adds?
Go through this list honestly. Each item is something My AI Front Desk offers and Talksy does not:
- Book appointments into Google Calendar, Outlook or Calendly during a call or chat (AI calendar)
- Warm-transfer a caller to you or your staff
- Text callers, or let customers text your number (two-way SMS)
- A chatbot or voicebot on your website
- Automated outbound calls (capped at 20 a day on Business-in-a-Box)
- A built-in CRM, Zapier, and integrations with tools like Shopify, AppFolio, Buildium or Jane App
- Email drafting and form handling
If you ticked two or more, My AI Front Desk is probably the better choice, and we'd rather tell you that than have you churn after a week. If you ticked none, read on.

What does 200 minutes a month cost on each?
My AI Front Desk's Business-in-a-Box includes 200 voice minutes for $99 a month ($79 a month on annual billing). Talksy's Growth plan includes 300 voice minutes plus 5,000 WhatsApp and Telegram messages for $49 a month, monthly.
If you go over, the models differ. My AI Front Desk keeps working and draws on credits, at $0.25 per voice minute. Talksy pauses the assistant until the next cycle; you'd upgrade to Scale ($149, 1,000 minutes) rather than pay overage. That's predictable, but it means you should choose a plan with headroom.
Where Talksy is a reasonable alternative
- Your calls are questions, not bookings. Hours, prices, service areas, policies, directions. Talksy answers these well and doesn't charge you for features you don't touch.
- You want Telegram, or WhatsApp on every plan with your own Meta account (Meta bills those messages directly at its rates).
- You're in Canada and want a local Canadian number bought instantly in the dashboard.
- Budget. Starter costs $19 a month for 24/7 answering with a local number included.
And one honest limitation: Talksy's assistant answers phone calls from its written instructions rather than from uploaded documents, which only feed WhatsApp and Telegram replies. Keep the essentials in the instructions.
Switching from My AI Front Desk
If you decide to move:
- Copy your business details, FAQs and policies into a Talksy assistant's instructions.
- Upload your longer documents (menus, price lists) for WhatsApp and Telegram.
- Buy a local number in the Channels tab, then change your carrier's call forwarding to point at it.
- Rebuild any booking flow as a link the assistant shares.
Start with the 14-day free trial and run both side by side for a week before cancelling anything. See also Talksy vs Goodcall, what is an AI receptionist? and pricing.
